FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ONE GOD, eternally existent in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. We believe we are sinners in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23). We believe Jesus Christ came to save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21, 1 John 4:9-10), fully and forever accomplishing that work on the cross (1 Peter 2:24).

THE BIBLE IS GOD’S WORD. Every word of Scripture is living and active, breathed out by God, written and preserved by human writers, and inspired by the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21).

THE BIBLE IS A HISTORICAL RECORD. The Old Testament records the creation of the world, the fall of man, the establishment of God’s covenant with Israel, and the promise and anticipation of a Savior for redemption (Genesis 2:4). The New Testament tells the true story of the life, death, and resurrection of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, the birth of the Church, and the promise of Christ’s return (John 14:1-3) and God’s restoration plan. (Psalm 23, Isaiah 58:12, 1 Peter 5:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17).

THE BIBLE IS MEANT TO BE READ. Because God’s Word is true, even the parts that are sad, scary, or difficult to understand are good news. Every page, from cover to cover, is given that we might know God (Matthew 4:4).

THE BIBLE IS FOR YOU. No amount of knowledge or wisdom makes you more or less qualified to meet God in His Word. Nothing you are doing, have done, or will do renders you ineligible for the good news of the gospel. (1 Timothy 2:3-4).

THE BIBLE IS FOR RIGHT NOW. You can read the Bible right where you are, just as you are. It is the only living and active book in the world (Hebrews 4:12), and we can trust the Holy Spirit to illuminate the words He has already inspired (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible exists for moments like this — the moment you lay it open and look for the Lord Jesus Christ (John 20:31)

THE BIBLE SERVES AS A GUIDEPOST FOR YOUR JOURNEY. We believe God invites you to see His story through your own story. As the Holy Spirit leads us to pray, journal, read, and practice the many spiritual disciplines throughout scripture we grow. We experience greater love, joy and peace as we trust in the Lord Jesus (Galatians 5:22-23). Your story matters as you share your unique journey of faith with others, (1 Peter 3:15, Revelation 12:11), and use your unique God given gifts to serve others (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:11-12).

THE BIBLE CONFIRMS WE WERE CREATED FOR HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. We believe the greatest commandment is to love God with our whole heart, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:4-6), and to love your neighbour as yourself (Mark 12:31). As believers in Jesus, we are called to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9 ) and are called to the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18) within our own families, communities of faith and culture. This is made possible when we have made peace with God in our own hearts (Romans 5:1). God is sovereign. As we do our part to be a light in this world (Matthew 5:14, John 8:12), God ultimately is in control and does His part. We leave the timing and results to Him.

WE BELIEVE IN THE TENETS OF THE APOSTLE’S CREED, A STATEMENT OF FAITH USED BY CHRISTIANS SINCE THE FOURTH CENTURY:

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

We believe in the holy matrimony between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the resurrection, the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 11:25, 14:6)
